Mark 1:32-34 CSB
[32] When evening came, after the sun had set, they brought to him all those who were sick and demon-possessed. [33] The whole town was assembled at the door, [34] and he healed many who were sick with various diseases and drove out many demons. And he would not permit the demons to speak, because they knew him.
Sometimes we simply need to see!
Vs. 32 All. Not some, not 10, not 2,
all.
Vs. 33 Whole. Not some, not part, not a bit of,
the whole town.
Vs. 34 healed many.
Many.
Vs. 34 drove out many demons.
Many.
John 3:16-18 CSB
[16] For God loved the world in this way: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. [17] For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. [18] Anyone who believes in him is not condemned, but anyone who does not believe is already condemned, because he has not believed in the name of the one and only Son of God.
Vs. 16 everyone? Hmm… (all)
Vs. 17 save the world? Hmm… (whole, healed)
Vs. 18 Anyone who believes in Him is not condemned, anyone who does not believe is already condemned. Hmm…(healed many, drove out many)
Mark 1:32-34
Foreshadowing? Hmm…
Simply see!
It is worth noting that Mark makes a distinction between the sick and demon possessed. Sickness is a result of the fall of man but not all sickness is related to demon possession or oppression.
Love in Christ,
